This page shows a selection of images from Ash Brockwell's 2019 'TransVerse' exhibition at The Art House, Southampton.  The exhibition was held in parallel with the launch of the poetry book Trans*(verse): We Won't Be Erased, an anthology of poems and song lyrics by 26 transgender and non-binary writers.  The second TransVerse anthology, No Time for Silence: Words of Survival, Hope and Resilience, will be launched in October 2020.

Ash's 'TransVerse' collection is mainly acrylic on canvas, but a number of the pieces incorporate found objects - net curtains, broken glass, clock hands, bubble wrap, even streaks of blood - or use decorators' filler paste to create 3D effects.
