HI! I'M ASH
I'm a middle-aged trans guy working in interdisciplinary higher education. I live near the New Forest in southern England with my two teenage daughters, and have a passion for art, pilgrimage and bringing people together through song. My academic background is in biochemistry, environmental anthropology and education for sustainability.
I'm the author of Measuring What Matters? Exploring the Use of Values-Based Indicators in Assessing Education for Sustainability (Wageningen University & Research, 2019) and editor of Trans*(verse): We Won't Be Erased!, a poetry anthology wtih 26 contributors.
I've also contributed to more than 30 peer-reviewed publications, comprising a mix of journal articles, chapters in edited volumes, and a couple of books - mainly in my deadname, which is awkward.
